Essex Heights Primary School Childcare Programs Mission Statement:

“All Essex Heights Childcare Programs will provide a safe, enjoyable, hygienic and caring environment that meets the needs and expectations of  the parents and children.”

Why we are at the forefront of childcare:

• The program is all-inclusive.

• Bookings not essential for Before or After care.

• The program is in close consultation with State and Federal Agencies that oversee Childcare standards and regulations.

• The first Quality Assured  program  in the City Of Monash.

• The National Childcare Accreditation Council recognized the program provides the HIGHEST QUALITY care in relation to their 30 Childcare key point indicators.                                      

• A Federal Government approved Childcare program.

• The program has several qualified staff/staff undertaking study in the teaching/childcare field

• Staff  has in excess of 30 years childcare experience.

• High staff student ratios 1 : 15

• The program has been selected by the Federal Government for the “ Active After School Care“ initiative.

• Program located on school grounds.

Prep Care

The Prep Program operates during 1^st term when preps have staggered finishing times.

Before Care

Operates between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. Breakfast provided at no extra charge.

After Care

Operates between 3.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. Afternoon tea provided at no extra cost.

Activities

Every day we try to provide a different organized activity for the children. (art, sport, cooking, dancing, drama, craft, construction etc…etc…)

The children are provided with the choice of outside and inside activities.

Inside activities: board games, Lego, coloring in, Video games drawing, dress ups, dolls

Outside activities: play equipment, tennis, football, soccer, cricket, skipping and organised games.

Vacation Care/ Curriculum Care

 Every school holidays we  provide a mix of in and out of school experiences for the children.

Some activities we have provided in the past are: Werribbee  Free Range Zoo, Melbourne Zoo, the movies, bowling, rollerskating, kite making, jungle day, Taskworks, mini golf, Healsville Bird Sanctuary, Melbourne Aquarium, Plaster fun house, various cooking days, various sports clinics, IMAX cinema, and many varied different themed art days.

Cost

The program offers Child Care Benefits. What this means in real terms to families is a reduction in  your daily fees.

Fee reductions will only be provided if the correct paper work has been completed and processed by Centrelink. In addition to Child Care Benefits you may receive a 30% tax rebate. The program will provide detailed receipts on request.

• Prep Care = $3.00 PER CHILD

• Before Care = $9.50 PER CHILD

• After Care = $11.50 PER CHILD

• Vacation Care = $ 35.00 PER CHILD

Operating Times

Before Care:    7.00 AM – 9.00 AM

After Care:       3.30 PM – 6.00 PM

Vacation Care: 7.00 AM – 6.00 PM
