National Science Week, Australia's annual celebration of science and technology, ran from 15th to 23rd August this year. The national theme was Deep Blue: innovations for the future of our oceans. EHPS students were encouraged to engage with this exciting theme in a wide variety of ways.
The theme embraced the innovative technologies, capabilities and skills needed to achieve economic, environmental and social sustainability of our oceans. It featured insights and inquiries into workable solutions that generate healthy oceans, healthy economies and healthy communities.
Take a look at the Resource Book of Ideas for National Science Week, produced by the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA). It’s jam-packed with ideas for addressing ocean topics and issues with your children.
