A School Transition Program is offered for our incoming Prep students and their family. The School Transition Program for 2020 Preps comprises:
Parent Sessions will be held concurrent to the children's transition sessions on 5th September (Health Matters) and 10th October (Preparing your child for learning).Story Time sessions will be held for incoming Preps on Monday 22nd July and Monday 12th August, and a Glue & Glitter Art session will be held on Monday 28th October.Department of Education & Training (DET) Get Ready for Prep - CLICK HERE. Term 1 commenced on Tuesday 29th January 2019, however this day was a statewide student free day for all Victorian government schools. Each government school is allocated three additional student free days in the school year. The first of these student free days at EHPS was on Wednesday 30th January 2019, therefore, our Years 1 to 6 students commenced on Thursday 31st January 2019.
Prep students did not attend school between Thursday 31st January and Wednesday 6th February, and commenced school on Thursday 7th February 2019. In the first week of the 2019 school year, 31st January to 6th February, Prep students were allocated a School Entry Assessment (SEA) interview day and time; the SEA was conducted with the child only and was approximately one hour in duration. For students commencing in Years 1 to 6 in 2020, an orientation day will be held in December 2019.
